Attention Hockey Players and Fans! Help us Pick-up-the-Tab and support our Michigan FAR Flyers Special Hockey Team.

June 12, 2011 at John Lindell Ice Arena
Sunday from 9 AM to 6:30 PM

Our seventh annual fundraiser for the Michigan FAR Flyers Special Hockey Team will help cover the cost to prepare for and play in the National and International Tournaments.

Special Hockey Teams from the USA and Canada have been holding their own Special Hockey International (SHI) Tournaments for the past 17 years. The Michigan FAR Flyers have participated in these tournaments since 2003 and helped host the Inaugural USA Disabled Hockey National Festival in 2005.

In April of 2010 we participated in the USA Hockey National Festival in Laurel, Maryland and the SHI Tournament in Orangeville, Ontario.

We just returned from the April 2011 Festival in Blaine, Minnesota and the SHI Tournament in Marlborough, Massachusetts. There were over 900 players and 66 teams at this years' SHI Tournament. It was the largest ever SHI Tournament.

The Michigan FAR Flyers participate in these SHI Tournaments as two teams comprised of 30 special athletes. Both teams are part of FAR Conservatory's Ice Skating program, which has been encouraging special athletes in ice hockey and figure skating for over 26 years.

Come and join the fun and help support these dedicated athletes and their families. Our goal is to raise the $4,000 to help the Michigan FAR Flyers prepare for and participate in their 2012 USA Disabled Hockey National Festival and Special Hockey International Tournaments.

Below is the game schedule for June 12:
